Updates

Well, seems that I´ve lost my interest to blog in english (again). Hope to improve! :)
Below you can find some updates on my recent activities, knitting included

I finished a market bag which was a gift to my goddaughter´s Laura´s mom. She had a birthday recently and I needed a simple bag where to pack the book (how to make a soap by Terje / Vardamoor). There was one old crocheted lace sample and some linen textiles used. Easy and quick project, useful as well.

I also finished the mittens for Laura, my goddaughter. Here is a picture of the first one, haven´t had time to take some more. Maybe tomorrow if the weather will be ok. It has been dark and rainy for all week, finally today it started to snow. Most probably it will be all gone by morning, we´ll see.

Then we did some hiking with scottie club. We visited one intersting place called The Endla Mire System
I love bogs in autumn, all thos colours, birds, nature. Clean water, clean air and silence.  We took one 12km route which was actually quite challanging for me and also for doggies :). But still, I enjoyed it much!

A week before the hiking tour I had a cluster meeting in Croatia, Zadar. Met my colleque from Slovenia, Croatia, Poland, Hungary, Greece, Bulgaria and Bosnia. Lovely people, lot of fun, lot of serious meetings, sightseeing in Zadar and long trip back home. Doggies were with their great nanny in Tallinn.

So the life has been interesting here. Also I need to mention that we had a great mushroom year! I did several trips to the forests to pick mushrooms. I prepared those for winter as well - several cans in marinade, waiting for long and cold winter :).

Talking about winter, NASA scientists did some forecasts recently and said that it might be a cold one! As they were quite accurate with summer prognosis, I´m a bit worried but we´ll see. At least I´ve finished my winter sweater called Thinking of Iceland. So I think I´m prepared :).

Currenlty I´m working on Gerda´s gloves (Laura´s youngest sister) and then I also promiced to knit pair of mittens to Triinu, Laura´s oldest sister. Hope to show some new pictures soon.

Take care and warm greetings from cold & dark Estonia.
